John knows Vufold very well – but then he should, as he founded the business. An entrepreneur at heart, John has amassed a wealth of experience in product design and development, and in particular timber-based products. After 20 years of bringing innovative products and designs to fruition, recognising niches in the market and placing them in the likes of Wickes and Travis Perkins, he started Vufold in order to sell them directly. In fact, there’s nothing John likes more than pushing boundaries and expectations – which is precisely what he’s done with Vufold, building it into a unique online door and window company.
Having developed the Vufold brand and concept and disrupting the market by offering excellent quality systems online backed by fast delivery, easy installation and excellent customer service, John’s particularly proud of the business he’s built. But he’s equally proud of the team around him, like-minded individuals many of whom have grown with the brand and who, like him, are always looking for ways to improve what we do.
Over the years, John has travelled extensively, sourcing products from all over the world including Asia, Australia, America and South America, gaining a detailed understanding of their different cultures in the process. He’d love to write a book about his global business experiences over the last 40 years, and while he still enjoys travelling his other passion – Manchester United – takes up a good deal of his spare time.
